LUSTY BRIDGE

Lusty Bridge Project: Reinforcing Stability Under Challenging Conditions

Lusty under Bridge required the installation of 12-metre-long GB39 tie bars, 420mm pattress plates, and additional structural tie bars, integrated through the existing bridge structure to improve its stability and strength. These components played a pivotal role in fortifying the bridge under demanding circumstances.

During the project, specification challenges arose. However, Piletec successfully addressed these issues by introducing innovative 13.5-metre ground anchors, coupled with value engineering solutions. This strategic approach ensured that the integration of tie bars, ground anchors, and pattress plates achieved the desired structural reinforcement within the original programme timeline.

This project exemplifies Piletec’s adaptability and technical expertise in overcoming project complexities, showcasing their ability to deliver reliable and effective structural stabilisation solutions.

The project at Lusty Bridge involved the installation of 12-metre-long GB39 tie bars, 420mm pattress plates, and additional structural tie bars through the existing bridge structure to enhance its stability and strength. These elements were crucial in reinforcing the bridge under challenging conditions.

Despite specification issues encountered during the process, Piletec implemented innovative 13.5-metre ground anchors, supported by value engineering solutions, to resolve the challenges effectively. The integration of tie bars, ground anchors, and pattress plates ensured the project was successfully delivered within the original programme.

This case highlights Piletec’s ability to adapt and overcome complexities, demonstrating expertise in designing and executing reliable solutions for structural stabilisation.
